The last few months to be honest we have been writing tenders, pitching for work and employing new staff. But in case you missed it, here is an innovative event we worked with story telling at the heart of it. One of the skills which we excel at it story telling and this ASX Listed Companies breakfast brought the business, legal and financial community together in Adelaide to hear how companies, who were not in mining are making inroads – telling a great story, right here from our home town.

Kain Lawyers was our client – as first time client, who reached out to us to add some show craft to the event. Like many professional services organisations, they put on events often and feel comfortable in that space. Where they knew they needed expert help was in crafting their stories, developing a run sheet that was more complex, managing their talent, keeping presentations to a high quality and delivering a high level production value event.

All in a day….ok 5-6 months pre-planning work

Create a new age of elegance – that was the client brief to launch the next building in the Southern Cross Care retirement complex. An elegant afternoon tea was created in the Waterford Room with every detail taken care of for the 80 guests. 4 weeks later all the apartments are sold! First impressions count.

MAJOR EVENT – Tour Down Under 2016

The Santos Tour Down Under is the first event on the UCI World Tour cycling calendar each January and has cemented itself as the biggest cycling race in the Southern hemisphere. The 9 day action packed event brings together the World’s top Tour professional cycling teams to race for UCI World Tour points on the streets of Adelaide and regional South Australia.

The Team Presentation grew to knew heights this year with Australia’s pop princess Jessica Mauboy delivering the free concert – a massive start to an every growing event.

A signature event for BFEG continues to be the VVIP Dinner which brings together approximately 50 of the Santos Tour Down Under top sponsors and special guests for an intimate evening of elegance and exclusivity. This years visit to a “New York” style restaurant added a new touch of glamour to the night.

The various events which BFEG delivers across the program received many positive comments but must continue to raise the bar each year as the STDU has now firmly fixed its place on the World Tour cycling calendar.

The Santos Tour Down Under was again a success on many levels and Big Fish Event’s Group is very proud to be associated with this event as it continues to be an a must attend event on South Australia’s calendar. BFEG strives to continually build upon new and improved ways in continuing and expanding our role and support that was offered to the Santos Tour Down Under.

PRODUCERS – Woolworths Carols by Candlelight 2015

In the centre of Adelaide, the South Australian community is brought together to celebrate the spirit of giving by singing Christmas carols at Carols by Candlelight; the event is the largest and oldest community carols in the country.

EVENT MANAGEMENT – Team Kids Christmas

The centre of the city is the heart of any celebration in the Christmas period. In 2015 Big Fish brought Team Kids and the Adelaide City Council together to create celebration concert to officially light the city’s Christmas Trees. Jane Riley was host with many stars dropping in to sign up a storm including the Adelaide Crows and Rob Mills!

Coles decided to engage as a sponsor for the Santos Tour Down Under, but couldn’t see their way through the complications of creating a sponsor activation in a very complex major event. Big Fish was engaged to come up with the creative concept and solve the many problems of creating 3 sites to operate in a rolling road closure for over 7500 rider. As a rider completing the BUPA challenge, sustenance is needed along the way. Stop in to one of the 3 “pop-up” supermarkets were created to support the riders and give them an amazing experience – “I have done a lot of these participation rides, but never seen anything like this – good on you Coles” Danny Walsh, Rider Bupa Challenge.

So many school principals took up the challenge to sort out how to get them into their schools or know where they are in their community.

CAMPAIGN & ACTIVATION – #LiveThinkPink

A trip to New York inspired a campaign idea for Think Pink, a client of Big Fish Event. Everyone prints the coffee cup – we are going to be bold and change the colour of the lid to PINK. We found a manufacturer in China, imported a container load and struck up some great relationships with many brilliant café outlets in Victoria. Brunetti was our first coffee partner to come on board and the campaign has begun. Each coffee sold sees a donation made to Think Pink to support the Living Centre delivering essential services free of charge to women and their families living with breast cancer. It’s a major fundraising campaign that makes a difference today.
